First my I say good luck with your new site. I hope it turns out to be a good experiment in journalism.
Secondly, are you attempting to get the news that is happening on the ground rather than rely on Government sanctioned reports? Health Minister Supari has said Indonesia will not be releasing H5N1 information in a timely manner.
Will you be posting about local rumors as well?
November 23, 2008 at 10:25 pm
Thank you very much. You are right, we are trying to collect information based on local news but from reliable media. We will post local rumors but only the reliable ones as well.

Congratulations on entering the brave new world of flu blogging. Thank you for standing up.
About the rumors, mistakes are inevitable but transparency and honesty when they are realized works fine. As you well know, it may be the next rumor which tips us off about the start which could save many lives.
Thank you again

Hello, to you! Welcome in the world of hard work and little appreciation! I also have a goal to provide as much as possible important news to the world. Unfortunately, on many occasions I wanted to stop, after for instance 1 visitor a day. Then I get a strong compliment, or a day with over 50 visitors, and then I have the strength to go on for a while again. Please, have that same strength because without you, it will be an unequal fight. So, ones again, Welcome!

Hello Ma Yingshen,
Thank you for the support. I think I experience the same tough things. But I’m trying to keep on going, cos this important for others to get common perception especially for bird flu matters. Please keep your hard work too.

Informative and good blog indeed. Congratulation for your great work, Mbak Ida. Information from this blog may reconfirm misleading information regarding bird flu situation in Indonesia. Simple suggestion for you, since your major is veterinary medicine, how if recent publication of avian influenza in the field of veterinary sciences ie. pathology, virology etc also added to the blog contents.
Best regard from Osaka…….

Hello Michael,
currently we’re focusing in bird flu cases reports only. For other issues, we dont have enough contributors. In mean time I’m the only one in charge and sometimes I have to do other works too. But I’m looking forward to extend the scope of the blog as you suggested. Best wishes for your work. Keep in touch.
