Grobogan, Central Java ::: Bird flu outbreaks in chickens

Grobogan, Central Java – Bird flu cases re-emerged in Grobogan, Central Java. Until the end of June, there are 15 cases of bird flu infection have been reported. In total, 856 chickens are reported dead.

Latest cases were occurred in Kampung Kranggan, Kelurahan Kunden, Kecamatan Wirosari. Chicken were reported suddenly died around the area. Further test to the dropping samples by using rapid test, those chickens were tested bird flu infection, said the Head of Livestock and Fishery Service of Kabupaten Grobogan, Gembong Murdowo DVM.

Samples have been sent to Center of Veterinary Bureau, Wates, Yogyakarta for further confirmation if any genetic changes or subtype has been occurred.
